I'm confused. I have been on a couple of these sites trying to see what it means to be Wiccan/Pagan/Shaman, etc, etc. What I have been mostly seeing is people with goth make-up, fake vampire teeth and contacts, trying to make themselves look dead or evil, upside down stars(which I'm pretty sure is a sign of Satanism) and wicked nick names which don't sound spiritual or in line with the beauty of our earth. Is this what it means to be pagan or have I gotten in with a "dark crowd" of Satanists?

Pagan over the years has be made to include all walks of life that are not considered Catholic, Christian etc. Pagan are many thing, many God and Godesses so yes you will run into some undesirable people, that hold different beliefs, but being a true Wiccan is to not judge, If you don't like what you see anywhere you have been then keep looking, or maybe you just don't know what Paginism is all about

Fair statement-I do not-yet. I'm working on it. I have just had foot surgery so I have a lot of time for a change and am doing research even as we type. I have been putting a very "positive" and spiritual spin on the whole thing in my head. So your site here has just confused me...

All I'm saying is over hundreds of years the pagan religion has been passed down by word of mouth and altered by people such as Aliester Crowley, Gerald Gardner, I myself take bits and pieces of what I believe in, the things that make my life care free and happy, you should never limit yourseld to what someone writes in a book as to being the way to live, are because you read something on line, or someone tells you this is how you should live to be a good Wiccan, believe in yourself and what you believe to be YOUR Wiccan path.

I think your great already!!! Of course most don't like honesty all that much. It has been my experience that most of the people, not all, are great people to party with( and that's important when your in the mood) but not much real help. I'm sure its here I'm just not that computer literate and also lack the social skills to tell the difference. I suggest Pagannews.com or even The Wrensnest.
